Combat Guide
~Welcome to our Shrouded Realms Combat Guide that allows you to know how combat will work through PvP and other events such as a group combat. If you are familiar with D&D, this is a very simplified version. Please make sure to read about Stats and Abilities first before reading further. PVP

PvP is a form of combat in the roleplay that takes place when two Ocs give equal consent to fight one another. PvP depends on the RP group and their regulations. These regulations are posted below and explain the two types of PvP we allow.
- I -
Free PVP
PVP is a player OC against another player OC that follows the forum’s fight rules and ability regulations; although, Free PvP is a fight between two OCs that do not follow any regulations, such as dice, health, Stamina, Mana, etc... This can be seen as a free play. The attacker and opponent fight using powers they have listed in their OCs information page; along with, creativity to “logically” combat each other by imagination. This usually leads to winning and losing based on their own preferences between each other. This can be discussed in their DMs or by simple heads-tails flip. Death is based on the own player's preference in free pvp, not the winners. The one who decides to lose can either die, get injured, or go on with their daily life. Ocs cannot kill others Ocs in free play without permission from an Admin, just like any other fight, excluding other events.

PvP
Pvp usually deals with the calculations of numbers based on dice rolls and rules to make sure everything is fair. All of the numerical information comes from stats and ability levels. Unlike Freeform PvP, start until the end of the PvP, is more controlled by dice; instead of imagination to determine on combat outcome. A player may not state they fully dodge an attack unless the dice roll and coupled with an ability that allows the outcome. Same goes for attacks. If the attack roll is 0, then they cannot state that the attack happened. If states do not allow a certain ability to be performed then cannot state that the ability takes place. If this happens, an admin may be alerted and the action can be aborted as if it had never happened.
-Basic Rules-
Before starting PvP, players must alert a staff member of their actions to fight. The staff member then watches over the fight to make sure before and after that, each event has the opponents' consent. Although, once two players agree to a PvP they may be subject to a action towards their OC that can end in death or KM (Kill moment). It needs to be understood when a person accepts a PvP, they also accept to the consequences afterward when losing a fight as long throughout the PvP it ends fair or an OC leaves before these actions are acted upon them.
-How to get out of a PvP-
Once two OCs start a PvP, it can be very hard to get out. An OC can not just randomly leave battle when things start to get tough. They have to perform an ability called, "Character Progression Ability Flee (CPA FLEE)." This is an ability that must be leveled up to three to work. It allows a person to be able to flee from a fight. If a Rper does not have this ability then they cannot pull away from a fight unless allowed to by their opponent or did not agree to the fight in the first place. Flee, once level 3, and passes a probability test. The player has to do a coin flip with a two-sided dice OR 1-3 yes, 4-6 no, on a six-sided dice.
Can repeatedly attempt as much as the Stamina/Mana pool allows per turn within a single PvP. Once fled, can't be attacked by the same opponent for 24 HRS unless they happen to attack that person later themselves. This means others cannot, such as in group fights, go after the flee Rper unless they attack after they had fleed.
Flee ability may be banned during certain events.
Group PVP
Group PVP can be free PVP or regular stat based PVP, it depends on the group or the event. Free PVP is easier when it comes to group pvp for there are fewer numbers to handle. All abilities when it comes to attacks or defense can hit a single opponent at once or block a single opponent at once unless it is a wide range special ability attack or defence which is given when a certain ability reaches level 10.
